For their production of “Vrijheid” (Freedom), the Modern dance studio from Haarlem decided to use the virtual reality of film instead of “classical” stage design based on theater décor.
For that purpose I was invited to produce a video-scenography for their modern dance performance, which speaks about transformations and different roles that women take in their life.
The film was realized in such a way that it interacts with the dance, becoming its active part. In the course of dance the film was projected upon differently positioned large screens, placed around and over the stage, following the structure of the storyline and its drama.
